World Schizophrenia Day Observed at Government Medical College, Jagtial.

On the occasion of World Schizophrenia Day, the Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Jagtial, organized an awareness program to promote understanding and reduce stigma associated with schizophrenia.

The event was graced by Dr. S.S.S. Quadri, Principal, Government Medical College, Jagtial, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Suman Rao, Medical Superintendent, as the Guest of Honour. The program included the release of awareness pamphlets focusing on early identification, treatment options, and community support for individuals living with schizophrenia.

The department emphasized the importance of creating awareness among medical professionals, students, and the general public to foster a more inclusive and compassionate approach to mental health care.
